Distribution Matters

The Postal Service, the United Parcel Service (UPS), and Federal Express (FedEx) got it right: distribution matters. If you have multiple places to post content, you may worry about where the most efficient place to create content is. But here’s our solution here at Smarter Biz: where you post your content doesn’t matter. Don’t worry about whether to post your great content to Facebook, Twitter, your web site’s blog, your support site, or your personal/corporate blog, just make sure people have access to it. That is, the post may reside in one place, but it should at least be accessible from all of your web presences. This is where tools like URL shorteners (like bit.ly), cross-posting plugins (like Twitter Tools), and social indexing apps (like SWIX) come into play. Use all of the tools at your disposal to ensure proper distribution across your networks, and don’t forget to link.

After all, the more networks you’re posting the same content to, the more people that will see your content.
